CLUB MEMBERSHIP

The Anderson Obedience Training Club, Inc. (AOTC), a member of the American Kennel Club (AKC), would like to invite you to become a member of our club. Candiates for club membership need to have completed a basic obedience class with us and /or be currently enrolled in other AOTC classes. All breeds of dogs are welcome, including mixed breeds. Please ask us during your class about joining the club!


You do not need to be a club member to take Puppy, Basic Obedience/GCG, or Beginner/ Intermediate Scent Work classes with us. Club member also have access to Novice, Open, Utility, Rally, and Advanced Scent Work classes.


Club membership dues are $45 (Single) or $50 (Family) per year. The Annual Membership fees are  due on January 1 each year. Dues received after September 1 are reduced to $25 for the remainder of the year. In November, the Club Treasurer will send a dues notice for the next year. 


Club meetings to discuss club and AKC business occur every other month on the 4th Tuesday, at 8pm at the Anderson Armory. 


Activities that the club is involved in include:  

  • Offering Training in AKC disciplines (see Class pages)
  • Sponsoring and conducting AKC Events according to their Rules and Regulations
  • Hosting member holiday parties such as at Halloween and Christmas
  • Celebrating with an Annual Awards Dinner to honor members who have achieved AKC titles with their dogs 
  • Participating in other public education dog-related community events
