Anderson Obedience Training Club SCENT WORK CLASSES

• Scent Work Classes are open to all breeds of pure bred and mixed breed dogs 
•  We are also happy to have Junior Handlers (those under age 16) participate in our classes (with an adult present on site)
• Scent Work Classes are held on Monday Nights in the National Guard Armory, 125 S Scatterfield Rd, Anderson, Indiana 
• All dogs are required to be up-to-date on shots and provide current shot records

Mondays | 8-week session | $100

Scent Work classes are held on Mondays and run in 8-week sessions. There are 2 sessions in the spring/summer (beginning in March), then a summer break, two session in the fall/early winter (ending mid December), then a winter break.

session 1: March 9

session 2: May 4

session 3: August 10

session 4: October 19

• 6:30-7:30 pm - Intro To / Beginner Scent Work  
• 6:45-7:45 pm - Intermediate Scent Work 
• 7:45-8:45 pm - Advanced Scent Work

Qualification Dogs 5 months of age or older. Must be current on shots & provide shot records. 

What is Covered:

• Intro To / Beginner Scent Work - for true beginners who have never had a scentwork class or those needing a back-to-basics refresher, and for AKC novice-level competitors. Bring treats (in small bite sizes) to reward your dog for successful searches. 

• Intermediate Scent Work - for those who have completed 2 or more sessions of beginner class, or who are competing at an AKC advanced/excellent level.

• Advanced Scent Work -  for those who have completed 2 or more sessions of Intermediate class, or who are competing at an AKC excellent/masters/detective level

Class may be canceled for inclement weather or when the Armory is closed (i.e, for National Holidays or on Election Day). In those instances, please check our Facebook page for updated announcements.
